State Of The Studio August 2024
Welcome back to another State of the Studio update. We’ve been busy over the past few months and have a lot of exciting things to share. Without further ado, let’s jump in and see what we’ve been up to.
RPG Supplements
As always, we’ve continued to release products on DriveThruRPG. Since our last update in March, we’ve released 8 new products. These range from NPC overviews, to random tables, locations, and factions. A little bit of everything.
We’ve also put together a handful of free products that are also available for download here on our site. We plan to highlight these better, but for now, you can find them on our products page.
In the coming months, we have a lot more supplements planned. We’re currently knee-deep in 3 more, all of which we have plans to launch before the end of the month. Along with those, we’ll also have a couple more free ones available for download. You don’t want to miss it!
WorldsCrafter
The last few months have also seen a lot of improvements to our world-building app WorldsCrafter. We’ve released several new features and also fixed dozens of minor bugs. Ultimately, WorldsCrafter is in the best state so far and we’re really excited to see feedback.
To that end, we’ve also started pushing some marketing and working on getting real user feedback. We hope to use that feedback to guide our roadmap in the coming months. We’ve already received some great ideas from our users and slotted those in as high-priority features. Be on the lookout for those to be released soon.
Plague Game
A new project we just started is our yet-unnamed plague game. This is going to be a mixed single-player TTRPG and alsobe developed as a mobile game using the same ruleset. The game takes place in a plague-torn medieval landscape loosely inspired by 14th-century Europe.
We’ve made some fantastic progress on this and plan to start sharing some of the art and rules in the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for the TTRPG release later this month with the mobile game following soon after.
Extras
As always, we’ve continued to support and develop our random generator apps. We’ve added new values for both NPCs and Taverns to further increase the variety and uniqueness each time you generate a new one.
We also have plans to release a new “Encounters and Hooks” generator later this month. Development is just about done, so we’re deep into the writing portion. We’ll have more details on that in the coming weeks.
And last but not least, we’re also looking to start porting our existing apps to Android. This will open the door to a whole new user base. We’re very excited about this, be sure to follow us on social media where we’ll announce when that’s live.
And with that, we’ve reached the end of our updates. As you can see, we have lots of exciting things in the works. Make sure to drop us a follow on social platforms to stay up to date with our releases. Until next time!
